California manufacturers with State approved "green" products
My firm is a woman owned small business located in New York, and we are distributors of products to the Federal and state and local governments around the country.
We have begun to explore the area of "green" and environmentally safe products, and know that California has extremely stringent guidelines when it come to products that receive approval or are denied.
With that in mind, I was inquiring as to whether a list is available that gives these approved manufacturers within California and the products that they make.
In speaking with various people, I have been told that if a company seeks approval from another state and are able to say that they already have California approval, then the approval process will be expedited. That is why it makes sense to look for the companies in the state that has set the standard.
Our primary focus is in the area of industrial cleaning products, but we are interested in finding companies in all areas of green and environmentally safe manufacturing. Any help, thoughts, direction or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
