Fed/ State Legislators Influenced to Allow UnGREEN Containers
Of course the big beverage providers are gonna fail at recycling.
Only about ten states allow comprehensive beverage container recycling; even fewer pay deposits. Beverage producers have powerful lobbyists at the state capitols, supporting with cash, Republican or conservative, anti-green law makers that vote down recycling legislation time and time again. There also is no federal statute mandating states to have recycling nor beverage companies to have green complying containers. Both federal and state elected officials need to share the blame for ignoring the majority American public desires (found consistently in Gallup Poll results) to disallow beverage product producers and their suppliers to go Green.
